Meisterhau

Meisterhau
German (“master cuts”) The most prized techniques described by the grand-master Liechtenauer, mostly in which the swordsman strikes in a manner so that his sword deflects the incoming blow while simultaneously hitting the opponent. The 5 Meisterhau consist of: Zornhau, Zwerchhau, Scheitelhau, Krumphau, and Schielhau. They essentially correspond to a diagonal, horizontal, vertical, crossed-hand, and false-edge cut.
